Has anyone seen the new Axe ad? Oh, I love Axe, it makes me feel all warm and tingly inside, it’s like every time they come out with a new ad I wonder “how does Axe know me so well?!” Axe has come out their new product Axe Chocolate, no it doesn’t smell like chocolate, it’s just cleverly named Axe Chocolate because Axe didn’t think they were being blunt enough with their previous products. Here’s a brief synopsis of the ad, a guy sprays Axe on himself and he literally turns into a chocolate man, then when he walks down the street that day any woman who sees him turns into an insane lunatic. Women are running after him trying to eat him, one woman literally rips his arm off, and then my favourite part of the whole thing, he’s in a theatre while two women on either side of him are licking his face in the most porn-erific way I’ve seen since…well…Axe’s last ad.
I know this ad is a joke, but here’s the thing, I don’t think half the guys in my school got that memo. Even though my school is supposedly a “scent-free” school, most guys have no problem with half lifting up their shirt to spray Axe all over themselves then they act all shocked when girls are gagging whenever they pass him because he smells like a fucking shoe (you know who you are dude with the Skin Industry T-shirt). So here’s to you Axe marketing people, you’re probably the most genius (and lazy) people working in T.V. today.
